la primera

So here I am, finally succumbing to the wiles of the informational vortex, allowing myself to delve not only to a deeper marker, but to do so with intent. I am not moving freely, traipsing across the surface of the web; I am here with a purpose, apparently, to go deep, to find something, to help unearth that which is lost. Maybe it will be like when a volcano erupts under water and the steam that is created is so rich in minerals that certain forms of life begin flourishing about its base. Well, they're not really volcanoes I guess. I think they are the steam spouts at the base of the volcanoes. That makes more sense. It would probably be too hot to live near the mouth of a volcano. Alright, where was I? Oh yeah, finding stuff and swimming deeply and whatnot. Well, I am now a proud uncle again- two nieces and one neph (that's short for nephewkinder). I am kind of mad at my brother and his wife because they stole the first name I was planning on using for a possible daughter that a woman I impregnate one day might be amiable enough to agree with: Vivian. They used Vivian Pamela which sounds alright, but I wanted Vivian Rose, after both of my grandmothers. It has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? Say it, say it! I began writing a poem for my niece, explaining to her that although her parents are both devout atheists, or se-cu-lar hu-man-ists, she will still be brought up well, and will be afforded everything a growing child needs. My other brother's two kids were both indoctrinated into his religion via baptismal ceremonies,  at neither of which did I allow myself to be marked as in attendance, due of course to my abhorrence of the rituals involved and history of the fables they are based around. I love those two kids as much as any uncle could, and am proud of each milestone they reach on their journey, but I await the day they begin questioning their parents, allowing me to beam with pride. That day will come, I hope and pray.   Good bye for now. I will probably do another in a week and so on and so forth...
